Each season is centered around 4 or 5 themes which can be easily combined. Gigue will not give in to radical style overhauls. The collections flow seamlessly into one another, nonetheless they are perfectly in tune with contemporary fashion trends.
Headquartered in Antwerp, Gigue now boasts a distribution network of brand stores, shop-in-shops and more than one hundred fifty multi brand stores, both in Belgium and abroad.
Gigue’s history dates to the beginning of the 1980s when founder Jo Wyckmans introduced the preppy look in Belgium with his ‘A Different Dialogue’ collection. In 1991 he founded Gigue and instantly put the label on the map, by earning the title ‘Designer of the Year’.
Around the year 2000 Gigue evolved with the arrival of designer Audrey, daughter of the founder, and her ultra-feminine collections. For about 25 years now, Gigue has remained true to its identity.
Gigue has always devoted considerable attention to its image. Since the label was founded, top photographers and up and coming international models have worked for Gigue, giving brand images and catalogues that extra special touch. The Gigue clothes and models are always portrayed in a very natural way without excessive make-up or glitter.

The project is led by Valentine Fruchart, an engineer-architect by training.
Passionate about the art of yarn and concerned about the environmental impact of our way of life, she took the Fabricademy, textile and technology training at the end of 2019 in order to specialize in opening the Green Fabric.
She takes care of the management of the place, the Fabricademy training and the machine trainings.
She created the Green Fabric with the aim of reducing consumption, promoting autonomy and recreating the link through creation.
The project occupies a building of the municipality of Forest in temporary occupation at 22-24 chaussée de Bruxelles.

Why Greentexx?
1. Safety first.
The Greentexx textile composite has acquired fire certificates: up to B-s2-d0 Thanks to having obtained those certificates, Greentexx can be used as a facade element or along evacuation routes inside buildings.
2. In or out?
Greentexx can be used both indoors and outdoors. The Greentexx composite is perfect for all vertical garden projects.
3. Light & fast.
The the strong and durable Greentexx textile composite is extremely light. 3.5 kg/m2. This makes fast installation possible. Up to 100 m²/day of frame and composite can be installed.
4. Intuitive design.
The Greentexx includes pre-cut pockets for plants and pre-made watering sleeves that are especially designed to uniformly fertigate & plant the system. All plant pockets are reinforced with a 10-year warranty mesh and pre-made in a fixed pattern (30 or 45 plants/m²), so you can focus on the plant design & the planting itself. Using plant plugs or P9 plants, 1 m2 of Greentexx can be planted in less than 10 minutes. Moreover, our pockets are compatible with most humidity and temperature sensors for easy remote tracking of the green wall.
5. Standardised mounting.
Greentexx comes in three product versions:
standard panels (2.25 m² per panel; 126 cm x 180 cm; 7.5 kg per panel; to be mounted using keders)
tailormade panels (2.25 – 13.5 m²; up to 45 kg for a single panel; to be mounted using keders)

State-of-the-art jacquard weaving machines
We weave all of our jacquard interior fabrics on Dornier-Stäubli weaving looms which are equipped with the latest technology: the multi-weft technology via weavegate transmission. This guarantees flexibility and a fast turnaround time.
In-house testing laboratory
In our laboratory, we carry out various tests on our jacquard interior fabrics to measure their colour fastness (Atlas Suntest CPS+), durability (Martindale test), resistance to slippage (seam slippage test) and formation of pilling (pilling test). Moreover, we test the fibres and fabrics extensively to avoid harmful substances. Our products carry the STANDARD 100 label by OEKO-TEX® and comply with the REACH quality standards. Upon request, our fabrics can be treated with a fire-retardant chemical BS 5852 part 0 and part 1, as well as crib 5 and complying with IMO A652.

I have many sources of inspiration both musical, photographic and theatrical.
I particularly appreciate the director Romeo Castellucci who likes to work
on the decadence of beauty and the mystery of the end. I could also mention the singer Soap & Skin, for its heavy and captivating music, or the artist Anthony
Goicoela, for his work on male identity in search of his place in society. I collaborated with him for two collections.
