What we do
We develop and manufacture high quality coated fabrics. We carefully select our textile bases, while choosing different textures (cloth or jersey, etc.) and materials (cotton, polyamide or polyester, etc.). We then coat them with polymers, primarily PVC and PU.
Thanks to our finishing processes, we can offer a range of aspects such as leather and textilelook. We protect the surface of our coated products with high-performance varnishes, which makes them resistant to heavy use and adverse weather conditions (light, spots, etc.).

EXTENSIVE EXPERTISE AND WIDE RANGE OF TEXTILE PRODUCTS
TEXTILES SINCE 1934
The company Comptoir d’importation et d’exportation de textiles shortened CIET NV, founded in 1934, is still known today for its expertise and wide range of textile products.
The fourth generation, led by Wim & Bert Van Moer, ensures not only the preservation and expansion of textile products, but also the careful selection of manufacturers, who have proven their quality and flexibility over the years.
Since Wim took the lead in 2014, the company continues under the commercial name CIETTEX.
CONSTANT EVOLUTION, STRONG PARTNERS AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY RAW MATERIALS
It is a constant challenge to meet the needs of our customers as best as possible. As a result, new manufacturers are added on a regular basis, which we believe are well suited to these specific needs and meet the ever-changing demand.
CIETTEX works mainly with manufacturers who are flexible in the development of products in collaboration with our customers. Most of our manufacturers have also made investments to reduce water and energy consumption. With modern production processes and the conscious search for ecologic raw materials, we can also contribute to the future of our planet in this way.
Our manufacturers, both in Europe and the Far East, have OEKO-TEX standard 100-class and/or BLUESIGN® certification.
SPECIALISATION & DIVERSIFICATION
Over the years, CIETTEX and its manufacturers have continued to specialize in several fields, without losing sight of the wide range of textiles. We are mainly active in 4 sectors: Sport, Fashion, Workwear, Home Decoration fabrics.
OUR SECTORS
SPORTS
In active sport, we work closely with designers and manufacturers of sportswear. We think about specially developed fabrics, chamois pads, protective equipment for all kinds of sports like; cycling, running, tennis, paddle, hockey, equestrian sports, football, rugby, basketball, ice skating, skiing and golf.
Each discipline has his own requirements in terms of technical characteristics of the textile or accessories.
FASHION
Fashion changes from day to day, with new brands, new trends and new colors. Our manufacturers bring new fabric collections every summer and winter, which we then individually adapt to fit perfectly into the collection of our customers.
WORKWEAR
Work clothing fabrics in the broad sense. These are not only fabrics for commonly known work pants, but materials for clothing in hospitals, construction, industry, petrochemical industry, utilities, as well as corporate clothing, catering and uniforms for schools or governments.
HOME DECO
After a few years of absence, we are back on this area with fabrics for furniture, curtains and decoration as well as bed linen. Here we work with stores selling by the meter and with interior designers, and more and more global projects for hotels.
Beauty
Beauty is the driving force behind our design process. With her products, she wishes to tell a story that inspires people and that makes them smile. When you buy a Lotte Martens product, you know you are holding a precious piece of textile, assembled with love.
Innovation
Our atelier is not only a creative laboratory, but also a knowledge lab where innovative inks and printing procedures are developed. Our design process is a constant search for innovation, which makes us leading in Flanders in terms of textiles.
Passion
Our prints are designed with passion and a strong sense for colors and textures. All lotte martens products are of high quality, made with love and dedication for the profession. We are always looking for market gaps and ways to bridge them in a corporate social responsibility.
Creation & inspiration
Atelier lotte martens is a manufacturing company with a focus on production and design. We create fabrics that inspire others to create. Buy your fabrics, get inspired by our tips and sewing patterns, and make your own unique garment!
Local & sustainable
All lotte martens products are hand printed in a small atelier in Leuven, Belgium, by highly valued craftspeople with poor job abilities. We use ecological inks and our production is zero waste: all fabric and ink leftovers are reused for new products. This way we contribute to a circular economy.
Unique
No pre-bought prints, no child labour in foreign countries: every step in the production process, from the first design to the final touch, is completed with the greatest care. Because our fabrics are printed by hand, they are all slightly different and thus unique.
