At Ba*Ba Kidswear
Working in the childrenswear industry for over a decade has taught us one thing for sure. Nobody’s too small to make a difference.
We are not afraid to rethink fashion, and carefully consider everything we do. From the design to fabrics we use, all the way to what happens to our clothes after we are done with them: every step matters. We might be a small team but we partner with others to reduce our impact on the planet and people. We are dedicated to making a more just and sustainable future.
Because that’s exactly the future we want our children to have.
So far, the majority of our fabrics are made from natural and organic fabrics. Yet, with every new collection, we are increasing this. We have reduced the proportion of virgin synthetic fibres in our clothing and replaced some with recycled polyester. Currently, 95% of our collection is made with organic cotton.
This way, we are making our clothes safe for the planet and those wearing them.
In the future, we plan to phase out the synthetics as much as possible. Instead, we are looking to introduce new fabrics with a lower eco-footprint. Additionally, we are finding ways to reuse the leftover scraps from our production and reduce fabric waste.
Producing ethically has always been at the core of our business. We are serious about understanding and knowing where our clothes come from. We do not support practices like child labour, slavery, unpaid working hours, or lack of social security.
Thus, have been partnering with trusted manufacturers in Portugal, Bulgaria, and Turkey for years. We have visited these factories ourselves, to see how and where our clothes are made.
Our partner factories are well recognised and carry certifications like GOTS, OEKO-TEX. They also have a strong corporate social responsibility policy. Together, we are working on sourcing better fabrics, reducing our production waste, and aligning our businesses with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SHIPPING AND PACKAGING
Packaging is a big part of any fashion business. We switched partly to a plastic-free and recycled carton and paper packaging to reduce our impact and waste.
Our next goal is to reduce the transportation footprint.
The suppliers we work with choose to ship by land rather than air, to reduce the transport footprint. They are also starting to use recycled materials to transport our clothes. We are encouraging them to further increase recycled materials in their packaging.
Everyone deserves a safe future, where the clothes we wear don’t cost the planet but help us thrive.
This is why our clothes are made to last. We want children not only to wear the clothes but to #GrowUpWithBaBa.
With every purchase, we encourage you to make the most use of the clothes. This includes taking proper care of them but also passing them on to other children. Our clothes now come with detailed washing and caring instructions, printed on recycled cotton.
We play our part in this too. Every year, we partner with a local charity to donate parts of our clothes to children in need. This way, we give life to as many of our garments as we can, rather than wasting them.
Yet, we aim to do more.
We are planning something we call a Ba*Ba repair day. This will be an annual event where everyone is invited to come and repair clothes for themselves and others. Though our clothes are made with quality in mind, they still get ripped and worn out during playtime or outdoors adventures. We want to encourage mending and repairing the clothes first.

About BCF Confection
In 1954 great-grandmother Germaine De Dier started manufacturing coats and accessories in Haaltert (Belgium). The economy revived after WWII and many family-owned textile companies in East and West Flanders also benefited from this. It was the start of a thriving family business that, generation after generation, expanded and perfected its knowledge and experience.
60 years of knowledge and experience under one roof
The knowledge and experience of textile manufacturing has shifted to offshore production countries in the last twenty years. As a family-owned company, we have been passing on our knowledge from generation to generation for over 60 years. high-quality and sustainable textiles are the standard

With our advanced software, we draw 2D/3D patterns.
Good working conditions. In our production unit in Tunisia, we work in the spirit of the Fair Wear foundation. We offer the best possible social working conditions to all our employees and are happy to work with customers who are a member of the Fair Wear Foundation.
Environmental awareness. In each step of the production process, we pay attention to the impact of textile manufacturing on the environment. All our raw materials are OEKO-TEX® certified: the manufactured fabrics do not contain any residues of harmful substances like pesticides or heavy metals. During production, we deal thoroughly with the water and energy consumption.
As a local Belgian textile manufacturer, we are happy to share our expertise with you and advise you on the feasibility and cost of your projects. We manufacture your textile design through the process of cut, make and trim (CMT) or as ready-made garment (RMG). Flexible order quantities and short delivery deadlines are our biggest assets. WE DELIVER EVERYTHING BUT THE BABY
The Childhome story started in 1985. Stefan Aerts drove around from shop to shop with a van full of baby gear. His case quickly met with success, it didn’t take long for the business to start growing, so his wife Nathalie joined him. With a son and twin daughters, Stefan and Nathalie knew like no other what young parents really need. Ideas came to life and they designed their first collection: Childhome was born!
In the years that followed, more and more young parents discovered the products of Childhome and the range has also expanded considerably. From cots, high chairs, play mats, nursery bags, changing tables to bouncers: Childhome has it all and much more.
Stefan and Nathalie still run their growing business with the same passion every day. Meanwhile, Childhome’s baby and toddler items are available in more than 60 countries worldwide.
FOUR CORE VALUES
With the best interest of your child in mind, Childhome ensures that their products comply with the strictest European safety standards. Quality and safety are of the highest priority. The in-house design, sales, marketing and logistics team also provide a great service every day.
However, the success isn’t only achieved by innovative, comfortable and safe products. It is passion that is the driving force behind Childhome. Together with their great team, Stefan and Nathalie believe that “your nursery should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love.”
DURABLE, TIMELESS AND BEAUTIFUL
The main goal of Childhome is to create comfortable products that make your little one’s life as pleasant as possible. In addition, Childhome also wants to make all parents happy with quality articles. That is why they only use the best materials and safety is of the utmost importance. This way, as a parent, you are always assured to get quality products. A nice extra is that all products look beautiful in your interior due to the sleek and timeless designs. LNKNITSLNKNITS Contact: Ellen Kegels
Ellen Kegels’ passion for knitting, baby alpaca yarn and Peru, led to the launch of a heartwarming knitwear brand in 2011, now known as LN Knits.
From the age of 16, Ellen started building her fair fashion knitwear brand by knitting beanies for family, friends and relatives. Before she knew it, she was knitting over 300 beanies herself and to complete the orders she created a warm platform of knitting grannies to help her out.
A few years later, she travelled to Peru to help launch a knitting atelier for a good cause, which led to the production other first real collection of handmade luxury baby alpaca knitwear.
Almost 10 years later, LN Knits gives honest work to over 350 women in Peru. Not only by offering them an honest income, but also by providing them with extra services such as daycare, medical check-ups and care.
You can read more about our core values in our sustainability report. Taking care of our planet is crucial and therefore LN Knits designs, creates and works as sustainably as possible. We only work with natural materials and have a zero-waste policy. Left over yarns becomes a beautiful collection of DIY & Home products. To date, LN Knits is sold in over 35 boutiques in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and the United States.
Ellen not only has her wonderful Peruvian woman to think about, she also has the very important job of bringing up two lovely young girls. As a dedicated entrepreneur and equally dedicated mother, she has worked hard on finding a healthy balance between the two.
She shares her own personal experience in the hope that other mothers see that it is possible to balance the two and really have quality time with loved ones.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Ellen has often step away from the trodden path.
Building a sustainable alpaca imperium, and showing the world that if you stick to your core values, you really can build a sustainable enterprise. As a pioneer of sustainable knitwear in Belgium, Ellen will forever be grateful to her warm and loyal customers who have shared this journey with her.
For you, dear customers, she will continue to design timeless collections, and keep you all warm in LNKnits’ soft, anti- allergic, handmade and sustainable designs.

It is in 1996 that we created Noukie’s, in Belgium. Our wish was to offer to the smallest children (and their parents), a remarkably soft toy, with short pile and embroidered eyes, to ensure both safety and hygiene; an innovation was born. Noukie’s would quickly develop a real expertise in the creation of characters and soft toys, and understand its essential role in the emotional development of babies. Our soft toys, the child’s every day companion, bring supreme softness, tenderness, and extend the feeling of comfort and safety given by the parents.
From 1998 onwards, our characters start creating genuine environments and also appear on linens, and later on, on day- and night wear, while always keeping the combination of softness and safety.
In 2004, Noukie’s opens its first store in Brussels, and its second one in Paris
To celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, we decide to bring our characters in motion. And so the animated 3D TV series “Nouky, Paco, and Lola” was born. Conceived with psychologists for children, this gentle and tender TV series experienced great success, and is still broadcasted in more than 163 countries…
In 2007, Noukie’s and its whole team are awarded the prestigious trophy of “Company of the Year” by Ernst & Young
In 2010, Noukie’s completes its baby environment by creating bedroom furniture.
Our story goes on with that of our characters, and we are proud of Noukie’s presence in more than 32 countries, where it brings tenderness and happiness to both children and adults
