Since I can remember I’ve been in love with clothes… My very first memory is when I was 6 years old wearing my yellow Converse All Stars with 2 different colour laces.
Then, since I was 12, I danced and was a part of several dance crews. So, I had to create my own style. My life evolved, I got older and besides my passions I wanted a higher education.
Even though I had a degree in Communications and a job in the event industry, this passion for fashion was too strong. Therefore, I decided to study again and after 2 years I graduated in Image and Fashion Styling at Limerts Academy of Design in Dublin.
Of course, I went for a job in the industry I fell for. 😉
I am so lucky, because I had the opportunity to live different aspects of fashion:
For Chanel in Public Relations
For Lee Cooper as Retail Analyst
For Bourgeois as Account Manager
But my passion for styling took over and I started to walk in that direction.
Step by step I got there and clients trusted me. I’ve worked for campaigns, editorials, video clips, hairdressers campaigns, TV programs, fashion consultancy and make-overs. Some of the amazing things I got to do are working with Jared Leto and his group « 30 Seconds to Mars » and with the French legend Arielle Dombasle, but also working with kids from all ages for Noukie’s or with different personalities for Lev’is or Lee Cooper was really fun.
Despite these successful experiences and amazing collaborations, there was always something missing. Something that would allow me to differentiate myself from other stylists, and to show who Jessie really is as a stylist.
There was one side of the industry I wanted to know, to feel, to learn from… the models themselves! I then worked as a model booker for Dominique Models, Belgium’s largest modeling agency. For 3 years, I developped what I’ve been missing in order to have an overall view on the world of fashion: managing the careers of models going from booking jobs, learning them how to dress for castings, how to walk for fashion shows, to finding strategies to make them topnotch models by placing them in foreign agencies and accompany them to fashion weeks.
Besides that, I’ve also discovered the client’s side that must be taken into account (budgets, strategies, target groups,…).
With all this experience, I return to my passion for styling, more determined and more skilled than ever.
xo,
Jessie
