ABOUT
“The best compliment you can give me is that your dress perfectly reflects who you are.”
— Eva Janssens
Eva’s passion for fashion resulted in 2009 in her own design studio & workshop under the same roof where her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents had been trading fabrics for a hundred years. Inspired by fashion weeks, New York, Tanzania, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel, classy hotel lobbies, a meticulously arranged dish, daily passers-by, and customers – she designs the most beautiful creations.
“I like the technical aspect of tailoring. I liken it to an architect designing a house: certain elements of a dress have to fit perfectly.”
Chantal Janssens
That’s why Eva and her mom work so well together: “”During a fitting, Eva focuses on the feeling, I look at the technical elements, at folds, lines and seams.” In addition, Chantal’s knowledge of fabrics is also an added value in the design process that should not be underestimated.
“I’m lucky enough to work with my daughter and wife. We complement each other, and that feels great.”
Geert Janssens
Geert got his love for fashion and fabrics from his dad. “My idealistic father Gaston is my absolute hero. Driven, art-loving, loving, inspiring.” Geert saw Stoffen Janssens transform into Eva Janssens bridal design. “It’s fantastic to see how everything comes together, our knowledge and Eva’s talent for beautiful creations.”
“No two dresses are the same. That makes every creation special.”
─ The studio a.k.a. “The Golden Hands”
“We convert Eva’s designs into patterns and get to work with them. In the meantime we know each other so well that half a word from Eva is enough to know what to do. No two dresses are the same, it’s something completely different every time. The combination of all elements, finished down to the smallest details, is what makes a dress special.”
