Clothes are inevitable. They are nothing less than the furniture of the mind made visible.
Garderobe+ is a fashion agency in Antwerp and is run by Peggy-Marie Bracke. Our offer consists of small labels, some of which are Belgian and many of them eco-friendly. What they all have in common is the fact that they are made with love and an eye for craftsmanship. Each label tells its own story and seemingly coincidentally fits in with the others. A symbiosis naturally arises between the different collections, based on their individuality, purity and passion.
Ever since I was a kid I used to look at the world wide-eyed and soak up everything like a sponge. That hasn’t changed. Whether drawing, photography, furniture design, architecture, music or fashion: they all touch my senses. Because you have to live with your heart.
I have been in sales for fifteen years, of which twelve years with the same company. I started as a saleswoman and worked my way up to manager. After meeting a designer in 2006, I decided to quit this job and become self-employed.
Wardrobe+ was born. But I wanted a different approach than the other agencies. One that is not purely based on short-term cooperation, but on a sustainable, honest relationship of trust. Not a one-night stand, but a solid relationship.
When I was still buying collections myself, I was always amazed at how little the representatives thought about. In many cases it was only about writing large orders. So I don’t work with minimum orders. After all, as a retailer you know your budget like no other. Moreover, you only sell the products that you support yourself. In this way we create a win-win situation together. That’s how I want to work in this industry and that’s how I want to get the best out of it for you, for myself and for my designers.
