Christa Reniers
Christa ReniersChrista Reniers is one of Belgium’s leading contemporary jewellery designers. She started in the 90’s in Brussels to develop the first pieces of her collection. She has a very strong and personal style which is easily recognizable. Each jewel is handcrafted by Christa personally with a very high quality finishing, in 18k gold or in sterling silver 925.
The brand is classy and upscale due to the high quality of the products and the very exclusive design that require skilled jeweller craftsmen.
Always very innovative when launched on the market, the Christa Reniers jewellery pieces become “classics” after a few years due to her timeless and unique style that fits as well for the everyday life as for exceptional events.

Elke Peeters
Elke PeetersAlready as a child Elke Peeters knew she would be designing jewellery. After all it was her own grandfather who lead her to discover the beauty of diamonds and jewels. After high school Elke ventured to Antwerp to study jewellery design at the Academy of Fine Arts. For a long time she combined design with teaching, but a few years back she resolved to pursue her own brand and workshop.
Today Elke designs jewellery for women who enjoy timeless beauty and care a great deal for quality and service. Precious materials such as gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones inspire her to create valuable gems. In addition to custom made designs, she produces her very own annual collection piece by piece characterised by elegance and pure femininity. All jewels are also handmade, signed and therefore unique. In short, treasures to give, to wear and to cherish.
Els Vansteelandt
Els VansteelandtEls Vansteelandt (°1961) started as an independent gold and silversmith in 1997. She designs jewellery and objets d’art. Her work is displayed in museums and galleries in major cities in Europe.
Els works both in her own studio in the green outskirts of Brussels and in an open workshop and showroom in a more urban setting in the centre of Brussels.
Anything can be inspiration for me. I just need to look around, observe, let my imagination start to flow and connect shapes. The emotional impulses that inspire me to design, lead me straight to the precious metal. I begin working with an idea about the form a piece of jewellery or an object will take. Much happens as I work, and I let my material take the lead. Whether this process results in a brooch or a silver spoon… cannot be predicted. Unforeseen events and unexpected variations make my material an endless world to explore and discover.

Lange Koepoortstraat 55 Antwerpen 2000 Belgium
Experimentation, innovation and surpassing things are words that define the process of research and creation of Espèces – in the sense of identity – because Sébastien Lacomblez and Marie Artamonoff assert a certain level of independence faced with the commercial logic of the masses.
Espèces are designers nourished by their creations, which have been appropriated from their personalities and their personal training: a course in plastic arts with a specialisation in digital art in Mons for Sébastien and jewellery in Namur for Marie. This is an intersting complementary that can be seen in their jewels and their current ready-to-wear experimentations. What is technically acquired in one area is transposed into the other and influences the choice of a certain aesthetic.
Sébastien’s interest for zoology was the perfect excuse to launch the line, which happened in a rather organic way. Using silver, gold and bronze – as well as a diversity of animal parts and bones – the idea for the collection first came in September 2011, when Marie purchased an animal skull for Sébastien’s birthday, making a single cast for herself.
An interested in the science of living things was the leitmotif of the creative process. Bones force us to go beyond ourselves as they have become objects of strangeness that defy notions of time and mortality. The ergonomic from of the objects transcends the status of ‘necklace’.
In a satured market, Espèces has made the choice of marketing themselves out as their unusual items lead to a form of exclusivity. The so-called ‘little structure’ made the choice of developping initially at the international level, increasing the number of its points of sale to gain necessary legitimacy to display their collections in the renowned boutique ’Stijl’ on the rue Antoine Dansaert in Brussels.
In 2015, Espèces pursued its work related to bones, proposing new models and materials and enriched its vocabulary by incorporating patterns into its productions with the launch of a new jewellery line and an experimental ready-to-wear collection. These novelties are inspired by patterns that are present in nature and in particular the way in which they are generated. The Conus textile – also called the golden fleece – is a poisonous shell whose patterns are similar to cellular automatons – mathematical objects, evolving in states according to simple rules, by imitating the self – reproducting capacities of living beings in a certain way.
The duo developed an IT programme that generates drawings and puts in place a unique item system within a series in partnership with a Belgian industrial knitting firm. These drawings are used to produce the knitwear, a technique making it possible to reproduce the design precisely: each pixel is equivalent to a point of the mesh. Each pullover, each scarf and each pair of leggings is unisex and unique. The client chooses from an array of patterns but each item of clothing will have its own variation of the drawing. Headscarves made of silk are also produced from the prints. A line of jewels made of silver and gold taking up their patterns by subtraction and by extrusion also emerged from this idea.
WELCOME TO
OUR BEAUTIFUL
CHAOS
Essentiel Antwerp stands for refreshing, offbeat & luxurious fashion, renowned for its graphic or floral prints and trendy mixes of color. The rich and unique collections are designed to provoke an emotional response.
STEP INTO OUR WORLD WHERE IMAGINATION AND BEAUTY REIGN, WHERE LACK OF ORDER CREATES A SPACE FOR SURPRISE.
The Antwerp-based brand is influenced by the numerous life experiences of its founders Esfan Eghtessadi and Inge Onsea. Esfan, the son of Nicole Cadine, grew up in a world of textiles, sketches and fashion collections. Inge had a vintage loving mother, was a fashion model and spent five years in India, where she fell in love with colors, prints and unexpected combinations.
WE WANT
TO BE YOUR
PINK PILL
In 1999 Esfan and Inge took a chance and launched a T-shirt collection. Four styles, twenty different colors: their response to the monochrome fashion landscape. After a year, the first store opened in Antwerp. Four seasons later, knitwear, jackets, dresses, shirts, and trousers in trendy colors, new materials, and an entire range of accessories were added. Essentiel Antwerp grew into a global brand with a powerful message of love, fun, and colorful surprises. A universal message that translates anywhere and everywhere in the world.
WE WANT
TO BATTLE
BOREDOM
WE CONSIDER OUR ACCESSORIES AS THE CHILLI PEPPERS IN OUR ALREADY TASTY DISH.
LIFE LOOKS BETTER IN COLOR: STAY CURIOUS AND ORIGINAL TO KEEP THINGS SURPRISING AND CELEBRATE LIFE.
