Plastibert & Cie nv is specialized in tailor made solutions and offers a stock program for different end uses. Our main markets are Automotive, Health & Well-Being, Protective Clothing, Upholstery and Digital Printing. We also develop products for specific Industrial applications.

We are part of the Duroc group. Duroc strives to build and develop a group consisting of high quality subsidiaries within different sectors.
As a subsidiary we operate close to our customers and therefore have the best understanding of the market and its needs. The Group’s governance model is highly decentralized and the various subsidiaries are responsible for developing their profitability.

What we do
We develop and manufacture high quality coated fabrics. We carefully select our textile bases, while choosing different textures (cloth or jersey, etc.) and materials (cotton, polyamide or polyester, etc.). We then coat them with polymers, primarily PVC and PU.

Thanks to our finishing processes, we can offer a range of aspects such as leather and textilelook. We protect the surface of our coated products with high-performance varnishes, which makes them resistant to heavy use and adverse weather conditions (light, spots, etc.).

HISTORY

Founded in 1965, Plastibert & Cie nv has been competing on the world market for almost 60 years.
We are based in Belgium and operate in close cooperation with our customers across the globe.

A few things from our history

1965 Plastibert was founded in 1965 in Beveren-Leie (BE) by the Berton brothers

1968 The plant (4.000m²) was moved to Bavikhove (BE)

1986 A new plant (22.000m²) was established in Wielsbeke (BE)

1997 Mecaseat Group acquired Plastibert

2008 Cotting Group was founded

2014 Plastibert creates its Digital Printing department

2019 The Swedish group Duroc AB acquired Plastibert

2023 Plastibert goes its own way within the Duroc AB Group
