About

Hi, I’m Eva.

During the week I work as an architect, on weekends I make handbags.

My mom, Karien De Muynck, taught me the craftsmanship of working with leather. In her atelier I have been able to indulge in testing, learning and creating for several years now. Her advice and patience in teaching me the trade gave me the delicacy and skill to the point where my handbags are worth sharing with people.

My main profession as an architect strongly influences the design of the handbags. Less is more, the leather case forms a simple and straightforward design. Relief in the leather is unnecessary, the color remains sober. The focus shifts to the knotted handle. A refined knotting technique joins several stitches together until the shoulder strap and handle are formed. The bright color makes the shadow between the knots visible and makes the knot definable.

All pieces are handmade in the atelier, both the making of the leather case and the knotting of the handle and strap. Craftsmanship stands for slow fashion, mass production is not possible, each piece is unique and is only produced at the request of the customer.

Each handbag comes in a dust bag, care instructions can be requested at any time.
