Nathalie Vleeschouwer

ABOUT US
Nathalie Vleeschouwer offers the kind of subtle elegance to women of character who want to enjoy life actively and confidently.
The Belgian designer launched her collection in 2011, but the roots of her fashion house go back as far as 1990. Inspiration is derived from all corners of the globe and distilled by Nathalie and her team at their headquarters in Antwerp. Because the soul of the collection is inextricably bound to the designer herself, it has an authentic style and is continually evolving, just like Nathalie’s creative ideas.
Experience, craftsmanship and lasting partnerships with a handful of suppliers and workshops form the basis of every garment that bears her name. Made with love, so that you can wear it again and again, and mix & match it with different items every season. Where the creativity of this collection – released once every six months – stops, yours begins.
Who is Nathalie?
Nathalie Vleeschouwer really does exist. She is not just the designer of the collection; she is also a wife, the mother of three children and two dogs, a traveller, nature lover, city-tripper, swimmer, connoisseur, and so much more.
Nathalie actively enjoys life and the clothing she wears plays an important part in this. It gives her confidence and supports her in all her activities, making it an essential part of her life.
There may be only one Nathalie Vleeschouwer, but many women can identify with her.
Why did she create the collection?
Nathalie Vleeschouwer’s interest in fashion stems from her childhood. Her father was a purchaser for a clothing chain, and as a child she loved nothing more than to accompany him to the big clothing factories. The Antwerp Academy of fashion was a logical next step in her career, but she decided – at the age of 22 – to swap the Academy with learning from practice. This resulted in the launch of Fragile, a maternity wear collection, in 1990. In those days, making fashionable maternity clothing was unheard of. That is how Nathalie became a global pioneer in the world of maternity fashion. The collection was a great success, all the way from Antwerp to Tokyo, and many brands have since followed in Fragile’s footsteps.
Having won the Womed Award in 2010 for female entrepreneurship, Nathalie felt she was ready to embark on a new venture in addition to Fragile. To underscore the authentic style of this new collection she decided to give it her own name: Nathalie Vleeschouwer.
The first collection was presented at the international trade fair in Paris in September 2010 and was available in shops in the spring of 2011.
What does the company Natale do?
Natale stands for Nathalie, and also for the Italian word for ‘birth’.
The family business comprises two collections: Fragile & Nathalie Vleeschouwer. Both are the artistic creations of designer Nathalie Vleeschouwer. The management of Natale is in the hands of Nathalie herself and her husband, Jan.
A staff of approximately 40 work hard every day, prominently or behind the scenes, in a wide range of jobs from pattern designer to sales assistant. By outsourcing as little work as possible experience is combined, ensuring a dynamic business culture.
Who makes your favourite pieces?
Nathalie Vleeschouwer is the head designer of a creative team, and collaborates with her own pattern maker. Each design is developed in detail by our team. We strive to build relationships of trust with all our suppliers and manufacturers, in which transparency and long-term cooperation are of the essence. We regularly visit our partners on site with a view to strengthening our ties and building a genuine relationship of trust and mutual respect.
Socially responsible entrepreneurship and sustainability
Respect for people, the environment and society are key values at Natale.
By opting for quality goods at fair as a starting point, we hope to contribute to enhancing the sustainability of the fashion industry. We deliberately choose to release only two collections a year and are adverse to hypes as well as overproducing. By adhering to this long-term vision we can make honest fashion that you will enjoy for many years to come and in which both the maker and the wearer take pride.
Our collections are produced without any use of child labour, in pleasant working conditions and for honest wages by audited suppliers with whom we build up partnerships with a long-term vision.
Keeping our creative, commercial and administrative departments under one and the same roof in Antwerp ensures that Natale’s environmental impact remains limited. We make every effort to minimise our ecological footprint throughout our production chain as well. This is one of the reasons why we have been sourcing more than half of what we produce from Belgian manufacturers for over 20 years. The remaining half is primarily produced in Europe.
Step by step, we aim to integrate more ecological fabrics into the collection every season – depending on the offering – while always maintaining a correct price/quality ratio.

Passion and quirkiness
Passionate about fashion, fabrics and developing patterns, Tine writes her life story with needle and thread.
Tine studied Fashion & Textile in Ghent and specialized in pattern drawing. After her studies, she started working for renowned designers and worked for major Belgian fashion houses.
Among other things, she was responsible for Kaat Tilley’s foreign clients. “I flew to Los Angeles where I, together with Kate, made the evening dresses of stars like Melanie Griffith for the Golden Globes”. In addition, Tine invariably works with Jean Paul Knott, someone she can call a friend in addition to being a colleague.
Tine has been making wedding dresses for over 20 years: “As long as I can remember, I have had an unconditional love for bridal wear. Being a part of a love story and making someone’s dream day come true is very special. Bridal attire always appeals to the imagination. Only the most beautiful materials are good enough.”
Every wedding dress is unique and contains a piece of Tine’s quirkiness. “When all the individual elements – from the pattern, to the cut, the smallest details and the personal touch of the bride – come together, a dress really becomes special.”
“Seeing a dress come to life little by little
coming is one of my favorite things.”
Unique and personal
“With my concept I bring a collection of several silhouettes. Those pieces form a foundation for both the bride and me. The bride-to-be always has an idea of the model, the cut and the choice of fabric, but the greatest source of inspiration remains the bride herself. Her body shape, wishes and needs remain the most important elements for a perfect wedding dress.”
From the first acquaintance, measuring, patterns, fabric choice to cutting, stitching, fitting and the very last finishing touch, Tine goes through the process from start to finish. And she always does this with the bride in mind: “Only in this way can the bridal outfit be the perfect reflection of the bride, her character, her figure, movements and so on.”.
In addition to bridal couture, ladies can also contact Tine for tailor-made evening wear and timeless basics. Her professional style advice and eye for detail ensure that every outfit tells a personal story.

Who we are
Atelier Minimalist is a Belgian fashion label with a contemporary and elegant design. We offer timeless clothing, produced locally and ethically in small quantities.
The first collection was launched in September 2019 using minimal geometry as its most important style element.
Dorsa Mohadjerin, the founder and designer, finds inspiration in modern art, architecture and nature. She combines subtle geometries with confident fits to create a timeless, elegant and unique look.
Each piece is designed and made consciously in Belgium. We work with our tailors to ensure that your clothing is created with ethics and environmentalism in mind. The same goes for the fabrics: all thoughtfully chosen or repurposed, providing you with the best quality. The sophisticated craftsmanship is clearly visible.
Atelier Minimalist firmly believes in the ‘slow design approach’. Therefore, the label focuses on timeless collections that blend into each other. New variations of existing pieces are re-invented in different colours, fabrics or proportions and added to the collection.
We hope to inspire people to support local & sustainable production and invest in timeless fashion.
Bio
Founder Dorsa Mohadjerin comes from a family with Persian roots and artistic talents. Experimentation is in her blood, and from a young age, she used her materials as tools for investigating the creative process.
With an appreciation for art and design, as well as a professional consulting career, she began to translate this love for exploration into her work with wearable arts – fashion and textile – at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Dorsa created Atelier Minimalist to blend her love of conscious tailoring with modern silhouettes.

ABOUT FASHION DESIGNER LINA
.
Making people beautiful is my mission 😉
When I see someone, I immediately think in dresses, fabrics, colors. I don’t know myself differently, always looking for beauty in everyone and everything. Many thanks to my little golden fingers, that I can fulfill this job in this way.
For more than 10 years I have specialized in making and designing exclusive tailor-made clothing. I was educated with a master’s degree in fashion design, pattern drawing and haute couture embroidery.
ABOUT CUSTOMIZATION
“Customization is a process, an adventure. As a fashion designer, I listen and look, together we look for the right materials, fit and style. No ready-made dress code, but a unique piece that grows around you.
Customization has its price tag. But it has such beautiful and strong advantages: through customization, many more people can wear what they really dream of. Many pieces of clothing, whatever your figure, often don’t fit in ready-to-wear, even if you’d like to. Something that’s tailored is way more flattering anyway, whichever cut you prefer, simply because it fits. I often hear people say to me in the studio ‘I’ve dreamed of being long-dressed for so long, but I really didn’t think I had the figure for that’ or ‘I didn’t know that my figure looks so much better a proper cut’. Every body is so different and customization has so much to offer.
In the past years I have already drawn patterns and made and adapted designs for countless bodies. Accentuate what makes someone beautiful, envelop what feels vulnerable, look and listen. It has now become my specialization.
I don’t make collections, I like to work around a person. I mainly use the knowledge I gained with my master’s degree in fashion design to come up with original and unique designs that suit the customer, in addition to custom work.
A new vision on clothing, supportive in who we are, that’s what I’m going for.” lina

A line of jewelry and accessories finished with zippers completes the range, with the use of fish leather, another way to become sustainable.

The accidental elegance of DVO creates sincere and ethical clothes, made for you in Belgium with guts and passion.
Fast-Fashion killed creativity and how we value our clothes. We tend to forget easily: “who made my clothes ? What is the price to pay to get this super good deal that crossed the oceans ?” Fashion is the second most polluting industry right after fuel, it is time to protect our planet.
If not now, when ? If not you, who ?
Today, as we move slowly towards gender equality, we can see another version of our future. So we can finally feel good in our body and mind, free from fears and anxieties. We know how it is to feel powerless about the human abuse in the clothing industry and feel the pressure of others because of how we look, either too prude or too sexy, bossy, bitchy. Everyone deserves to be whoever they want. Just like you, we feel frustrated living in a consumer society that does nothing for the ecological cause. We support your desire to consume less, by choosing better, to make it last.
Doriane van Overeem is a Belgian fashion designer, who graduated from La Cambre Mode(s) in Brussels and developed her skills in the studios of Manish Arora, Bernhard Willhelm, Meadham Kirchhoff and Louise Gray. She collaborated with : AEG Electrolux for the Care Label Project, Belfius, the Galeries Lafayette Paris, Disney and styled celebrities such as Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Marie Gillain, Ciara or Yuko Takeuchi. DVO has also been published in Glamour, Elle, Marie Claire, People Style Watch, 25 ans.
Purchasing a DVO piece, is supporting a local company which is totally transparent with you. For each product, you can find a size guide, the composition is precisely explained as well as the time of manufacture, so you know exactly what you are paying for. Each piece goes through a strict fitting to make sure it is comfortable, and as much as possible easy to care for. You can track your package anytime and you have up to 14 days to exchange your order. We can repair your piece if any unexpected use appears, so you can keep your clothes even longer. All pieces can be custom made, cause each body is different and unique.
If you are still not sure whether buying a DVO piece, you can regularly meet us during pop up stores, visit our atelier or stores where DVO is being sold. Or if you ever dreamed of learning how to stitch ? Come take a lesson with Doriane herself, anything is possible !

Conscious Antwerp
Conscious AntwerpInfo
Hello! Meet CONSCIOUS ANTWERP, and what we stand for.
If you love beautiful and sustainable clothing design as much as we do, you’ve come to the right place. Conscious Antwerp is a new clothing concept created and designed with an eye for both style and sustainability from start to finish. By combining the principles of ‘ethical and sustainable business’ ( which is a very interesting course at UA by the way!) with a passion for quality and design Conscious Antwerp was transformed from dream to reality.
Our mission is to deliver beautiful, high-quality and timeless items with a luxurious yet casual appearance, which you can wear with proud and without guilt!
We deliver this promise by producing locally and with a sustainable use of materials. The reason we chose this more costly manner is because we consciously want to produce fair clothing with a minimal CO2 impact. Now you know that your clothing is not only unique in design but also in value. 😉
Our vision is to become big by staying small, so we don’t do any harm.
Our mission and vision tell our values, but they also determine the external features of our clothing such as shape, color, texture and dimension. The pieces are unique in appearance due to the combination of the leftover materials and the simplicity and longevity of the designs.

Our Story
Belgian designer Alexandra Jacmin and her entrepreneur twin sister Ségolène Jacmin established their eco-conscious label FAÇON JACMIN in 2016. After graduating from La Cambre, Alexandra worked for Maison Martin Margiela and Jean-Paul Gaultier. The duo has since carved out a unique position amongst Belgium’s most innovative emerging talents.
FAÇON JACMIN is an attitude. With their label, the twins aime to give women more confidence and empower them in their everyday life, helping to express themselves to the fullest.
Alexandra’s designs explore the codes of seduction, and the alliance of masculinity and femininity. If denim remains her field of predilection, other fabrics are intertwined with it, to present a playful silhouette, meddling boldness and charm – a vision for an eco-conscious, modern, desirable, and determined woman.
Next to the main collections, capsule collections made of up-cycled designs are crafted by hand in our atelier in Antwerp and revealed once a year.
FAÇON JACMIN was awarded “Best Talent 2016” by C’est du Belge/RTBF, and a year later, in 2017 an award for “Best Emerging Talent” at the Belgian Fashion Awards.
A Japanese love story
FAÇON JACMIN has a certain affinity for denim, and more particularly for Japanese denim, giving the clothes finesse and durability. Japan, renowned globally for producing the best denim, has managed to preserve their traditional, artisanal craft creating an affinity to authenticity.
The natural indigo, a dye that is among one of the oldest, gives the pieces a rich colour, as well as a rich history. Natural indigo is still used in Japan, resulting in deep blues and improved wear resistance. They work with traditional machines that create a tighter weaving pattern improving resilience, while offering strength and delicateness at the same time. Japanese denim, supported by the culture of perfectionism, has a premium and distinctive composition that has become the nation’s pride, leaving a mark in Japanese modern history – a history that is a true mix of tradition and innovation.
Since the beginning of FAÇON JACMIN, the twins have been influenced and passionate about embracing Japan and its rich culture.
