That’s why our collections always include playful jumpsuits, cool shorts, comfy pants and cute skirts as a fixed value in our collections. What more? Prints and color, of course! Each LolaLiza garment is defined by its unique print or combines the most beautiful hues and colors.
LOLALIZA IS A PROUD, 100% BELGIAN FASHION BRAND.
The largest part of our collections is made “in house”, in our headquarters situated in the heart of Brussels. We create fashion for women with spunk who love expressing their personality. For women who are not afraid to show who they truly are – beautiful in every way.
We design fashion for you. Women have the power to determine their own success and are even more empowered to do so in an outfit that allows them to completely be themselves.

The future is digital, and we are well aware of that. Besides focusing on our stores, we increasingly concentrate on digitalization, e-commerce and –to be even more close to our customers- personalisation. This way, we inspire thousands of women online on a daily basis through our fun and easily accessible web shop. In short, a lot has changed since 2001, when LolaLiza first started with only 7 stores in Belgium.
The timeline below illustrates how we have grown from a local family business into an international women’s brand.

ABOUT US
NIELS PEERAER
is an eponymous leather goods label, founded by Antwerp designer Niels Peeraer, established and based in Paris ca. 2011
VISION & CHAPTER 2/
After 8 years of introducing our “no limit to cuteness” it’s time to start writing a second chapter to our storyline, and use a more translated approach to cuteness. Continuing a genderless balance of sensitivity vs. toughness, but shifting from a focus on ornamentation to a more elaborate form study and styling versatility, while keeping our practical architectural volumes.
We decided to still keep our first generation classics available in our Made to Order section, which will be handmade in our Paris atelier. All our pieces are created without any gender-tag, they are here for to any human who feels connected to them.
TECHNIQUE/
Niels Peeraer bags have no stitching, and are entirely assembled through screws and custom made gold or nickle hardware.
Through this self-developed technique we can achieve cleaner lines and strength on our pieces.
MATERIAL AND SUSTAINABILITY/
Our vegetable tanned cow hide is sourced from Scandinavia, as a byproduct from meat consumption. In respect for the animal, we use the leather in its entirety, including parts that others might regard as imperfections.
We’re strong believers in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi 「侘寂」, finding beauty in imperfections, always with deep respect and appreciation for the integrity of the natural materials and processes.
We do not use lining or cover the inside of our pieces, but use a special waxing-process to create a smooth surface, as well as use a natural gum-based finish for our edges. It’s important for us not to use any chemical or environmental toxic component within our materials, nor production process.
All our materials are sourced within Europe and our pieces are handmade in either Spain or our own atelier in Paris, to minimize our footprint.

ABOUT ME
My name is Katy, I’m the founder and designer of RINDU based on the beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia. I used to work in the hospitality business with my husband, back in Belgium, where we both are originally from. It was during our honeymoon in Indonesia that I fell in love with the culture and their traditional craftsmanship. What began from a place of intrigue and admiration developed throughout the years and has since become my livelihood. In 2006, I started designing my first pieces of jewellery handcrafted by talented local artisans and marked the creation of RINDU. Two years later in Paris, I introduced my collection to international professional buyers and I would have never imagined my designs would be sold worldwide.

About Boshra
Boshra (بُشْرَى) (f.): good omen, good news, good tidings Boshra Bagherpour is born in Tehran, Iran, in 1985.
Political instability in Iran soon forces Boshra and her parents to leave the country. She settles in Belgium where she has a positive and happy childhood, surrounded by love, colour and creativity. From a young age, Boshra looks up to her mother, Pari, who is a fashion designer with an exceptional talent for drawing and painting. Inspired by her mother’s creativeness, Boshra soon starts creating her very first designs. From figures and patterns to fashion and accessories. As Pari passes away at an early age, Boshra’s passion fades and her sketchbook is stowed away.
Years later, in her late 20’s, Boshra rediscovers her passion for designing and feels compelled to get back to her drawing board. Brand new designs flow through her sketchbook and come to life at her sewing machine. She follows a course in leathercrafting and pursues her biggest passion: handbags. In her improvised workshop she finishes her first official bag and names it Pari, in honour of her mother. To this day, it is still her favourite model.
Boshra’s first official designs are an instant success and she is prompted to develop her brand and open a web store. Throughout her designs, Boshra has remained true to her name, choosing positive and elegant designs, happy bags and lovely colours. With clear Eastern influences and carefully chosen Persian names, she always keeps her background and culture in mind. Boshra loves iconic and exclusive handbags with sustainable design and premium quality. All handbags are still drafted, designed and handmade by Boshra in her workshop, according to customer’s preference.

I sculpt in blocks of Corian , metal and glass, Shapes that are similar to mineral structures . I work on the balance , contrast , mobility of masses and fragmentation. A uniform and compact block contrasts with a space composed of a multitude of colored fragment. This structure highlights the chaos, the abyss represented as a tingling while the compact structure puts us in connection with the essence of existence and brings us back to a simpler form or catches the light.
Isabelle Carpentier is questioning the meaning of ex-votos, their symbolism , the way of perceiving these primitive and stereotyped representations and questioning the survival of this mystical practice.
She is invitating us tocast a new glance on these living blocks fragments, far from any aesthetic frame, which have resisted in spite of progress, keeping a strenght and fascination in the collective unconscious .
These timeless imageries constitute a kind of human experiment that travels down the ages , always generating fascination, from curiosity to turmoil or even repulsion.
The use of ancient materials and techniques is combined with contemporary materials such as corian which is sculpted in a primitive manner, encircling fragments fragments of spun glass.
The girdle makes the jewel flexible, malleable and stiff, and send us back to the tradition built from materials fitted with pasticity.

About
After reading the book “The Emperor wears no clothes” by hemp advocate Jack Herer, Emilio De Baudringhien got inspired to start a company that would bring this amazing plant and all of its benefits, back to humanity.
Since hemp is a carbon negative crop we strongly believe it can be a key player in fighting global warming… think of it this way: we are growing a plant in 100 days that takes huge amounts of carbon from our atmosphere and stores it safely in the ground, actually increasing the fertility of the soil. After the plant is harvested we can use every single aspect of the plant for a different purpose, leaving no waste. All this with a minimum input of water and nutrients and no use of pesticides and herbicides.
1 acre of hemp takes in 10 times the amount of carbon compared to 1 acre of rainforest.
Emilio doesn’t consider The Ornament Hemp Co. a fashion company since we don’t follow fashion trends or seasons. Instead we see the company as a vehicle to support the hemp movement in all its forms.
Emilio never started this company for money gaining purposes. All of the money that comes in is directly re-invested in creating more products made from hemp to help increase global hemp crop production and help create a world with more durable products made from replenishable crops such as hemp.
At the end of 2017, Emilio set up a crowdfunding campaign to set up his label. Thanks to 110 lovely backers, Emilio got his project funded and was able to take off.

The use of new materials and techniques creates added values and aesthetics in eyewear design. This is basically the idea and motivation of the Cabrio collection.
Driven by curiosity, Bieke Hoet continuously explores new materials, techniques and manufacturers. A virtual library has grown during the years.
Through trial and error, by pushing a material to its edge of performance, by applying techniques unknown in the eyewear business, new concepts with new added values are created.

OUR STORY
From discarded flags to unique and sustainable gadgets
Anyone holding a Flagbag item will immediately see that it is a unique creation. And a sustainable one, because the hip gadgets we make are the result of upcycling and social employment. Whether it’s a bicycle bag, a laptop sleeve or something else, our creations are all living proof that sustainability and design can indeed go hand in hand.
Smart recycling
As an upcycling project, Flagbag is a textbook example of the cradle-to-cradle principle. We use discarded flags, pennants and sails, which would otherwise end up on the waste mountain, and we give them a new life as a hip design object in a smart and unique way. We use the flags and sails as raw materials for unique shoulder bags, bicycle bags or toilet bags. We also try to recover the other raw materials, such as zippers, as much as possible from old textiles. Even the sewing machines we work with are second-hand. In this way we contribute to a better environment and a smaller mountain of waste.
We strive for a 100% local product. We keep the distance from raw material to finished product as small as possible so that the impact on the environment is also as small as possible. The flags and sails come from municipalities and companies in Belgium and are processed in a local workshop by local workers.
Social employment
In addition to an upcycling project, Flagbag is also a training and social employment project: we help people who find it difficult to find work on the regular job market. Our employees, people from disadvantaged groups, use a sewing machine to convert the old flags and sails into bicycle bags, shoulder bags and other unique items. They derive great job satisfaction from the responsibility they are given to us and are justifiably proud of their creations. And who knows, thanks to the work and training they receive at Flagbag, they may grow into the mainstream economy.
Who is behind Flagbag?
Flagbag is an initiative of De Springplank vzw. De Springplank vzw is a tailor-made company: our core task is to offer tailor-made work and support to people who find it difficult to find a job on the regular labor market. In this way they find meaningful daytime activities, financial security and job satisfaction. Thanks to this work experience and the broadening of their competences, they often find a regular job after a few years through a transfer process.
In order to give as many people as possible a tailor-made job, De Springplank vzw is active in various domains: recycling activities “Okazi”, upcycling with Flagbag, recycling with Creazi, assembly of (company) bicycles with Velovisie, rental and maintenance of bicycles via bicycle paradise Limburg. be, operation of bicycle points at the stations of Genk, Hasselt, Sint-Truiden and on the Portavida Welfare Campus in Genk and the concept store with vintage loft Hendrikshuis in the center of Hasselt.
